Biography

Kim Dai-seung was born in 1967 and graduated from Chung-Ang University in Theatre Studies. He made his debut on the film scene as an assistant director for Chung Ji-young, and for Im Kwon-taek. His first feature, Bungee Jumping of their Own, was acclaimed by audiences and critics alike as one of the best melodramas of the modern era, as was his second work, Blood Rain, an innovative combination of thriller and period film set in the Chosun era.
