In 1993, former military officer Suk-young Park is assigned by the South Korean National Intelligence Service to carry out a spying mission under the codename “Black Venus.” His task is to gain the trust of a group of high-ranked North Korean officials stationed in Beijing and gather information on their nuclear plans. Cleverly acting undercover as a business agent, Park manages to reach Pyongyang to face leader Kim Jong-Il.
