Biography

Born in Seoul in 1965, he legally changed his name to KimJho Kwang-so in 2006 when he came out. KimJho Kwang-so is one of the few gay filmmakers in South Korea and has been involved in the production of numerous works with LGBT themes.
He collaborated with director LeeSong Hee-il in the production of the film "No Regret" (2006), considered "the first true Korean gay film". In 2008, he directed and wrote his first short film, "Boy Meets Boy," and two follow-ups: "Just Friends?" (2009) and "LOVE, 100°C" (2010). In 2012 he released his first feature film "Two Weddings and a Funeral".
