Biography

Lee Don-gu, born in 1984, graduated in theater studies from the Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts in Anseong. After starting his career as an actor and director, he took part in numerous stage shows and several short films. In 2012 he directed his first film, entitled "Fatal", a story of bullying and tormented love. The film receives a lot of attention at national and international festivals, including those in Busan, Marrakech, Berlin and Seattle. Also in "Entangled" the theme of bullying returns (this time female) although the real protagonist of the film is the elderly mother, played by the great actress Kim Young-ae (Confession of Murder, The Attorney). The world premiere was held at the latest edition of the Busan International Film Festival.
