Born in Seoul in 1973, he studied at the Korean Academy of Film Arts. He made his directorial debut in 2004 with "My Generation" followed by "Boys of Tomorrow" (2006) starring a newcomer Yoo Ah-in. His latest film "Golden Slumber" has also known great success outside the national borders, being in fact distributed in Cambodia, India, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Malaysia.
