Hee-yeon e la sua famiglia, dopo la sparizione del figlio, lasciano Seoul e si trasferiscono nel paese natale della madre del marito, sperando di ritrovare un po’ di serenità e di migliorare le condizioni di salute dell’anziana signora. Una serie di inquietanti eventi sembra ostacolare l’inserimento della famiglia nella nuova casa: il cadavere di una donna viene ritrovato in un edificio abbondonato nel vicino bosco e poco dopo una misteriosa bambina bussa alla porta di Hee-yeon la quale, per attutire il vuoto lasciato dal figlio, la accoglie nella sua casa.

Hee-yeon and her family, after the disappearance of their child, leave Seoul and move to the birthplace of her husband's mother, hoping to find some serenity and improve the health of the elderly lady. A series of disturbing events seems to hinder the inclusion of the family in the new house: the body of a woman is found in an abandoned building in the nearby forest and shortly after a mysterious child knocks at the door of Hee-yeon who, to drown the emptiness left by her son, welcomes her into her home.
