Born in 1946, he is one of the most representative and active directors of his generation. With his cinema he has explored different genres and suggestions, embracing, in the second part of his career, increasingly committed themes that have earned him the status of a militant auteur. Among his most notable films are “White Badge” (1992), “Unbowed” (2012) and “National Security” (2012). “Black Money” (2019) had a development phase, which preceded the start of filming, by 7 years.
