Biography

È nato a Seoul in Corea il 25 ottobre 1960 e ha studiato alla Chungang University, al California College of Arts e all’Art Institute di Chicago. Ha esordito il suo primo lungometraggio nel 1996 da allora ha realizzato 30 lungometraggi e alcuni cortometraggi. È uno dei registi coreani più amati conosciuti e premiati al mondo per il suo stile poetico e intimista.
