Biography

Before his film success, Jang Jin was already an established playwright and director of many musicals and television series. After his first film The Happenings (1998), he continued to write, demonstrating his versatility as a screenwriter, through the different types of genres he tackled: from the romantic Ditto (2000) to the thriller Public Enemy Returns (2008). He plays a part in the adaptation of one of his famous subjects, Welcome to Dongmakgol. He later directed Murder, Take One (2005) and Good Morning President (2009), both based on two of his subjects. Jang was also director of the Korean edition of Saturday Night Live.
