Born in 1982, he dreamed of becoming a director after being strongly impressed by the films made by Wong Kar-Wai while he was in middle school. He spent his adolescence influenced by the films of Quentin Tarantino, wrote many short and feature films, and worked as an assistant director on several commercial films. "The Uncle" is his first feature film.
