Kim Tae-gon è un regista meglio conosciuto per essere il leader del gruppo KwangHwaMoon Cinema, che ha introdotto un nuovo modello di cinema collaborativo nell'industria coreana. Dopo aver studiato cinema all'Università Chung-Ang, è stato accreditato come assistente alla regia per la commedia gangster (2001).
