Nato in Corea del Sud nel 1978, Lee Dong-eun si è specializzato in materie economiche alla Sungkyunkwan University. Nel 2013 ha scritto la sceneggiatura per il film tv “My Other Mother”, mentre nel 2017 ha diretto “Mothers”.
