Born in South Korea in 1978, Lee Dong-eun majored in economics at Sungkyunkwan University. In 2013 he wrote the screenplay for the TV movie "My Other Mother", while in 2017 he directed "Mothers". With the screenplay of the film "In Between Seasons" (a film in which he also appears as a director) he won first place among the students of the most important directing class of the Myung Films Institute.
