Born in Seoul in 1971. After working as an assistant director on "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" (2002) and "Oldboy" (2003) and Park Chan-Wook, he made his debut with his first feature film in 2005 with the successful comedy "The Beast and the Beauty". His second work "Luck-Key", a box office blockbuster, is the remake of a Japanese film released in 2012.
