Born in 1974, Lee Won-suk graduated from Boston University in 1996 with a degree in advertising. He was subsequently admitted to the American Film Institute, where he obtained a master's degree in Production, to which was added a master's degree in Directing at the Art Center College of Design in 2002. In parallel with his studies, he made several music videos and short films, and then worked in an American company, for which he directed some commercials for major brands (including Toyota and Calvin Klein). He teaches Photography at the Hongik University of Korea.
