Born in 1976, Noh Yeong-seok graduated from Seoul National University and then attended Hankyoreh Film Production School. He first worked in the record industry, as a composer and lyricist, and then moved behind the camera last year with Daytime Drinking which he produced, scripted, directed, photographed, edited and set to music. Successfully presented at the Seoul Independent Film Festival 2007 and at the Jeonju Film Festival 2008, Noh's debut was then invited to compete at the LXI Locarno Film Festival.
