Born on December 1, 1968, Park began working in film in 1993, as an assistant director for Kim Sung-su's "Dead End". For Park Heon-su's "The Fox with Nine Tails" (1994), he played the same role. His debut behind the camera was in 1996, with the short film "Great Pretenders". In 1998, the turning point: his first feature film, "Whispering Corridors", gave him international fame, while the film became the first in a successful horror series.
