Park made his directorial debut with the promising "I'm Sorry", a short film from 2002 followed by a collaboration with "Memories" by Kim Ji-woon, an episode of the collective horror "Three" (from the same year). In 2008 Park was one of the screenwriters of the sentimental comedy "Romantic Island", directed by Kang Chul-woo, until he tried his hand at his first feature film as a director, the thriller "An Ethics Lesson", of which he also wrote the screenplay.
