Yeon Sang-ho was born in Seoul in 1978. After graduating in Western painting from Sangmyung University, he began making several short films and then debuted in 2011 with his first animated feature film "The King of Pig". "Train to Busan" (2016) is his first live action film and follows the events of the previous animated film "Seoul Station" (2016) also scheduled at the Florence Korea Film Fest in the K-Horror section.
