THE WORLD OF WEBTOONS AT THE FLORENCE KOREA FILM FEST: FROM DIGITAL ART TO ONLINE TRIUMPH

The world of webtoons is increasingly an established reality in Korea and around the world. From the web of digital comics they have become, over the years, a source of inspiration for TV and cinema and this year we want to celebrate this unique art in the world.

THE MASTERCLASS

Friday, March 22 at 11 a.m. A masterclass dedicated to the world of webtoons will be held at the La Compagnia cinema with the participation of illustrator Jang Boo-kyu and the director of Chung-kang University Hong Yoon-pyo. The two artists will talk about their art and the importance that this art form has in the audiovisual world today.

In collaboration with the Nemo Academy, the school of digital arts in Florence, the world of digital arts and the revolution that this type of language has been bringing to the world in recent years will be explored.

Palazzo Medici Riccardi (Sale Ginori – via De’Ginori, 14) from 22 to 29 will host the exhibition “Webtoon Wonderland ” which presents a unique collection of works by artists from Chung-kang University. An unmissable opportunity for fans of the genre and beyond.

In an exclusive location such as that of the splendid Ginori Rooms, you will travel into the world of digital art, also encountering drawings from major films and dramas that have become real phenomena thanks to the streaming platforms that every year produce several dramas based on the world of digital drawing.
